The rules surrounding adding devices to your iPhone developer account have changed. Instead of being allowed a maximum of 100 devices registered together at any one time, you can now perform up to 100 registrations per membership year. I don’t know if you can remove and re-add the same device as a single registration, but right now you get the opportunity to clear out old ones once, after which (or if you don’t remove things but just start adding) any more removals will still count against your yearly total.

This makes beta-testing hard unless you have the same group of people testing everything you do. If you have multiple product in the works or — God forbid — are a contractor working on multiple products for multiple companies over the course of a year, you will likely be getting very close to this limit within 12 months. If you have both multiple products of your own AND do consulting for multiple other companies, then you’re likely fucked.

Yes, I fall into the last category there.
